Caprica 1.16 The Heavens Will Raise

With repeated watches, I grew more in love with this exchange between Daniel and Amanda.  There is just something about it.  I love how though Amanda is the one clearly speaking and focused on, you can still see Daniel’s reaction to her statement, and though Daniel speaks his disagreement, his expression says otherwise.  I think the moment Zoe kicked Daniel out of New Cap City — or, rather, what used to be New Cap City — they both recognized finding Zoe would be sort of a test, but it is only Amanda that voices and accepts that straight of the bat.  It takes Daniel another episode to come completely around to Amanda’s way of thinking, which is actually some what understandable.  I think Caprica did a proper job in establishing that Daniel is one large hyper-focused brat.  Get him working on one thing, and he won’t stop until he works it out his way.  That one personality flaw majorly affects his decisions, and that is why he works so well with Amanda.  She balances him out.  She sees what he continuously misses.  Amanda is literally the only person in this show that keeps him in line and gets him to see things her way.  She knows it.  He knows it.  They all know how lost Daniel becomes without Amanda.  Love it.
